Scientific Method Unit

How do scientists come up with the stuff the claim? Why are they so sure about certain ideas, but not so sure about others? Is there a process to the way they think? If so, how does it work and why?

9/12 & 13:
If science is the search for answers, and experiments give us the answers, why do scientists sometimes disagree about the answers that are found in the  experiments?

9/14 & 17:
1) All ideas in science need WHAT to be considered "valid"?
2) In what ways did you as the archeologist, use "good science" practices in the Data & Field activity?


9/18 & 19:
1) In Mulan, the "bad guys" made inferences from evidence collected off a doll. What did they HAVE TO HAVE before it was possible to interpret the evidence they observed?
2) In the Mystery Dish lab, why did Mr. Burrell require each member of the group to form a personal hypothesis before the whole group formed one?


9/20 &21:
1) Why is it important to always be at least a little skeptical when working in science (and everything else for that matter)
2) What is the difference between "inference" & "prediction"
